@RyanHanly @MarkCantoni @travello a thought, perhaps Travello should implement algorithms/a system where individuals whose posts or pictures get the most feedback or interest as it relates to travel commentary and engagement should be the ones that are featured more prominently on everyone’s walls. As more users join this platform and try to use it for other than its purpose, it negatively impact the enjoyment and ultimately the usage of Travello for members who who want to it for its main purpose. When we see pictures or posts that have nothing to do with travel experiences it really takes away the enjoyment of interacting on this platform. It’s probably quite hard to police people on this matter as opposed to explicit content. People will always post selfie‘s or try to use the platform other than you guys intended and try to hook up etc. and you really can’t avoid that however if you create a system where those who are sharing pictures and experiences of actual travel or destinations are the ones that the system recognizes more easily and makes those pictures or posts what ends up being featured in the community rather than just random selfie, folks would be very happy to continue using the platform and ultimately grow which I’’m sure you guys would love. @CathMacapagalBenitez exactly only friends can message as well, welcome to Travello anyhow, it's a great app and will be a great help to you if your travelling.

@Elliot I haven't got a chance to personally see how does this app really works to make friends during a travel. I've just tried it this morning. I usually see foreigners, sometimes a family, a couple, or a solo travellers coming into the same places I visit in my country. Sometimes they seem to be lost or confused about the Philippine culture. As much as I want to help them, I can't, because I don't want them to think something else hahaha. Maybe if I met those kinds of people in this app, they can recognize me better. 🤓

One thing which I like about this app is the matching of schedules for the upcoming travels. It is fun to see that for some point in time, people from different parts of the world can meet in one destination. That is cool. I kust hope to be courageous enough to delete weird messages on my inbox. Thanks mate!
Brendan McElroy Tue May 01 16:34:18 UTC 2018
@Elliot my suggestion would be to only let friends of the said person who puts up the posts, that way only people they choose to be friends can comment, could be a way to filter out these nuisance messages, because currently anyone can comment on anything.

@CathMacapagalBenitez @Travello this is a major detriment to user experiences- my suggestion is have the system recognize which users are a) not posting relevant content, b) sending messages or commenting that c) is getting them flagged and then automatically blacklisting them as users OR give users the option to rate other users and with that remove the users who get bad ratings @RyanHanly @MarkCantoni

@WedzFallas I feel the same of deleting this one. I was engaged to install this for my travel stuff but it doesn't work the way I thought it would be. I've just installed it today and my inbox was already filled with weird messages. It is annoying.
Cath Macapagal Benitez Tue May 01 16:17:10 UTC 2018
I agree with you. Being flooded by messages that have nothing to do with travels are somewhat annoying.

@BrendanMcElroy here here!
Brendan McElroy Fri Apr 27 21:15:51 UTC 2018
@WedzFallas stick with it, it's a great app, and there is an effort to try and stop these weird requests
Elliot Fri Apr 27 20:23:44 UTC 2018
@Travello The main point we are trying to share with you as users is if there’s a way to somehow have the system recognize when someone is just posting a selfie or a link to a chat for a hookup platform or if it’s a fake profile or any kind of sharing or messaging that takes away from the elements of sharing TRAVEL experiences specifically.
Elliot Fri Apr 27 20:21:43 UTC 2018
@Travello 👌👍✌️🙏

Hi guys – just to give you some idea of how the feed algorithm works – we give all new posts exposure for one hour and then continue to give them exposure to other users if they receive good interaction. If not, they drop off. This allows new and really great posts to be discovered and receive more likes and comments. The more likes and comments a post has, the more exposure it will receive to other users. From there your feed algorithm works by prioritising posts by people you follow, friends, and then post from around your location. We understand that the level of content from some parts of the community still needs to improve and we will work on ways to make your feed experience even better. We have a few ideas on this already and will be working on this over the next few weeks. Stick with us and we promise to make your feed experience better!

@WedzFallas yes it’s a shame I’m hearing that from some people
Wedz Fallas Fri Apr 27 19:15:19 UTC 2018
Thank you!!! I’ve been user for 3 days only & was thinking to just delete the account because of unrelated posts, strange messages with weird friend request!!
