What inspires me to travel...where to begin?! I’ve always been shy and introverted, especially when I’m uncomfortable, which is what started fueling my passion to travel. When you travel you’re constantly uncomfortable and in unknown situations and I love the challenge it presents, I love the feeling of doing something I was scared of that ended up being incredible, I love expanding my comfort zone to include things I never even thought I’d do. But currently, it’s the president of the United States who inspires me to travel. He inspires me to go to every one of the “shithole countries” and find all the reasons they’re so amazing, get to know the people and learn their stories, and come home and share them with others. He inspires me to get to know people from other countries personally so I can prove just how wrong his bigotry is. I want to travel as far and long as I can so I can show the world that Americans are not accurately represented by our current president. I met the boy in this picture in Cambodia. he was seven years old (same age as my own students), he spoke five languages and spent the day sharing his never-ending knowledge of Angkor Wat and the history of his country. “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.” -Mark Twain #busabout #takemetoeurope

Ha ha, so true, Trump’s comments are next level ignorance about the world. Big hearts are bigger than big wallets.
