Amelia the Nonstop Explorer: Welcome to the Isle of Man where the Tower of Refuge (just in the middle of the Douglas Bay), also known as St Mary’s Isle, is a mini tower built in 1832, as a submerged reef, originally for the purpose of offering shelter to shipwreck victims until help could arrive. I was told that I could walk to the tower if it is a low tide. Apparently, the water is high, so I have no choice but admire it from the shore! #ameliasworldtittletattle #ameliathewanderer #ameliathehistorian #solotraveler #myvoyage2018 #myhistoricalinvestigationandexploration #weekendtrip #travellolife #travellolife #thatsmylife #towerofrefuge #wheninisleofman🇮🇲
