Amelia the Explorer: Welcome to Serbia where the pretty me is exploring the city capital Belgrade where according to my research was first inhabited 7000 years ago; Vinča was one of the largest and most important settlements and cultural sites of the prehistoric period— the Neolithic people). Thus, the confluence of the river Sava and Danube has been occupied way back from palaeolithic era. These rivers, like many historical rivers in the world, i.e. river Yangtze in China, rivers Tigris and Euphrates of Iraq, Iran, Syria and Turkey, are born out by enormous and numerous archaeological sites with material evidence, ranging from the culture of the Old Stone Age and other prehistoric cultures, to the Middle Ages. What I find it very amusing is, the people here are absolutely adorable, friendly and very approachable! They always smile at me and because I hardly see British-Asian people here (well in fact, I am the only British-Asian people here who are wandering around the Kalemegdan), the local people loved to take my photos and they even asked me to post a picture with them along with their friends, children and themselves as well! Thank you very much for such a warm welcome! I truly appreciated it 😊 #ameliasworldtittletattle #ameliathehistorian #mytravelnavigationformyhistoricalandculturalinvestigation #expedition2017exploreroftheyear #wheninserbia🇷🇸

There’s nothing to be sad about! Life is full of everything and I am always grateful to experience the beautiful and unique places on each side of this world! It teaches me something and even though some of those are not pleasant at all times, it always gives something for me to reflect! — That’s what travelling impacted in my life 😊
