We climbed Saint Paul's Rock where you get an amazing view over Whangaroa Harbour. It got its name because of its similarity with the dome of Saint Paul's Cathedral in London. These volcanic rocks belong to what was once one of the sides of an enormous, ancient volcano that erupted over 20 million years ago! It was quite the experience to climb up there as we had to do some actual rockclimbing to reach the top! But we were so happy and proud once we were all the way up there. And the views... they were simply astonishing!
