Langtang national park is one of the close national park from capital city Kathmandu. This park offers short and long treks ranging from 4 days to 15 days. The prime villages of this park are Langtang valley, Kyanjin Gompa, Tarke Gyang and Thulo Syabru. The main attraction of this park is Gosainkunda lake, Kyanjin Gompa located at altitude of 3850 m, from where we can see panoramic view of Mount Langtang Lirung, Ubra, Yala, Gang Chembo, Naya Kanga and Dorje Lhakpa. This region of Nepal is inhibited by ancient mongols now known as Tamang, one can also options to trek through Tamang heritage trail. The trail is accompanied by Chorten, Stupas and monasteries. Most of the people here follow Buddhism and do not sacrifice animals as in other parts of Nepal. The national park is home to rare animal like Red Panda and several species of birds and butterflies. The park is rich in vegetation like Pine and Juniper trees, in the beautiful landscapes of Langtang.
